Technician

In a fast-paced, highly automated technical manufacturing environment, a technician will be responsible for day-to-day operational duties. Our major goal is to work safely to reduce downtime while also increasing productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsibility for one’s own and the team’s safety.

2. Active participation in Employee-Driven Safety Teams and Practices.

3. Keep an eye on the procedure and the product’s quality.

4. Maintain and improve the standard of living.

5. Work to increase uptime and decrease scrap; 6. Identify wastes and eliminate losses.

7. Active engagement in employee-led Autonomous Production Teams with the goal of reducing losses.

8. Process/equipment/component troubleshooting and resolution.

9. Analyzing data from data collection systems in order to find the best next steps.

10. Use of root-cause problem-solving techniques and approaches.

11. Making the best use of plant data collection systems.

12. Successful technology operation across many lines or multiple technology execution within a single line.

13. Establishment of standard work and standard operating procedures, as well as adherence to them.

14. Commitment to completing the technical training grid requirements in the timeframe given.

Key Competencies

1. Demonstrated maths and measuring skills—use of measurement instruments to measure quality inspection and detection and determine necessary corrective actions.

2. Demonstrated ability to complete activities of significant variety or complexity, including working knowledge of safety, health, and environmental principles and practices.

3. Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

4. Demonstrated ability to operate well in a group setting.

5. Ability to work in teams as well as independently with little supervision to achieve operational objectives

6. Knows how to utilise and use Microsoft Office Suite products.

7. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

8. A manufacturing technical degree or two (2) years of experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated integrated continuous process flow manufacturing setting using several technologies is preferred.

9. Preferably, experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
