To oversee our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines, our company is looking for a talented and experienced CNC machine operator. You’ll be in charge of ensuring that our company delivers high-quality parts and tools that adhere to engineering drawings and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up and manage CNC machines for various tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.

2. Convert engineering drawings and specifications into production-ready dimensions.

3. Ensure that the CNC machine is operating in compliance with the company’s policies.

4. Keep an eye on the machines as they complete the jobs and make any required adjustments to improve the results.

5. Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure proper operation.

6. Complete production and quality logs to record all machine actions.

Clients should be given timelines.

7. Communicate any logistical concerns that develop during the manufacturing process.

8. Ensure that the machining process produces results that are in line with the client’s expectations.

9. Evaluate CNC machines on a regular basis.

Key Competencies

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Having an engineering certificate or graduation is a plus.

3. CNC machine operator experience of 3 years.

4. Ability to translate technical drawings and mechanical documents.

5. Meticulous attention to detail combined with a goal-oriented mindset.

6. Excellent analytical and understanding skills.

7. Computer and maths skills are important.
